Fix the preloader, for one thing

I saw promise in the animation, but the parts you animated were very roughly drawn. Also, I couldn't understand what Iron Man said at the end, except the word "served" - and that was only because it appeared on the screen as well. And what was with him showing off with the one armed push-up at the end? Apparently it made the bad guys sad that he could do one armed push-ups, I guess the point was to make it look like they were conceding defeat at his one-armed push-up mastery, but they just looked sad.

Team up with someone else to do the artwork, work on the sound, fix the preloader, and work a bit on that final scene to make it less like a gymnastics demonstration and more like a fight, and you'd have something here.

I can see that you put a lot of effort into this, but it needs more work.

Kinda obvious, but funny

I enjoyed it, keep making stuff like that.

I see promise

I do see promise, but this one is a bit lame. Work on the sound quality mainly. It also just wasn't that funny. But keep it up, I did enjoy it.

Hmmm

I wouldn't have actually bothered reviewing this, except I wanted to get that spammer's "review" off the front of this one. Anyway....

It looked interesting, but yeah - incredibly unfinished. I can't really fairly review it until you actually get around to finishing it. I don't really think anyone can.

Interesting

It was well animated, although I'd work on the walking a bit - it didn't seem to fit with the rest of it, somehow. Nice though, overall.

A few suggestions

Firstly - that intro is long and boring. It's gotta go. Secondly, it's even longer and boringer the second time. Have the thing loop back to the menu instead of the beginning. Thirdly, add some sorta noise. This thing is boring as hell. I understand the point, but you've got to work harder to make it worth watching.

If you can't sit through 30 seconds of something that's non-entertaining, you need help. Badly.

I love this!

Very very very very very very very very coool! I like it! Nice. Yay.

Ok, I can't leave it at that, or it'll look like I'm your best friend posting just to make you look good.

Simplicity in animation, but the characters were great looking. I loved the green squirrel lizard whatever it was in the background playing guitar, and of course the puffball of a hamster. Good work. The whole thing was good.

A word of advice - this is the kind of thing that rarely works more than once. If this gets lotsa votes, I'd reccomend that your next toon be something completely different.

But in the meantime. This was coool.

Nice.

Of course, with the stickmation toon hitting the front page recently, you're likely to get a lot of reviews that say this isn't original. Of course, that one wasn't original either - having been probably inspired by the old warner brothers toons where Bugs Bunny played a cartoonist taunting poor Daffy....

Anyway, this was nicely done, and I recognize how much effort you put into this. Good job! Keep up the good work.

LogFish responds:

I started making this about this time lastyear, I just put it out of mind for an excessively long time - what actually reminded me to finish it was this ad on TV here in NZ for a bank which had their lousy tellers as sketches and stuff! So of course I'm hearing all this 'its unoriginal, oh you copied the bank' feedback, which bugs me a bit, but nevermind. It wasn't original when I decided to do it anyway, I'd already seen something on here somewhat similar. The biggest difference, I hadn't made it - so I did it anyway. Man this is a massive lifestory, but thanks for the decent feedback! People like yourself make Newgrounds worth submitting to.

Unoriginal

One of the greatest things about the spy vs spy comics was always the original creative ways they would kill each other. This was far from creative, sorry. In the actual comic, a knife would have come out of the eyepiece, killing the spy... Or maybe his eye would be glued to the eyepiece, and then the telescope would blast off into the sky and explode... Or... You get the idea. The graphics were all right, but not great. The animation was okay, once again, not great.

And although Fred Astaire did sing the original version of Puttin on the Ritz, he did not sing this version. This version was recorded in the 80's by a band called Taco. Do some research before crediting the wrong people. (This happened with that "Fuck" flash too - now all these random people think it was by Monty Python, simply because that's how it was credited, probably because it was downloaded and had that in the filename.)

Jszostak responds:

i had no take on any of the ideas, all the episodes are based on ACUAL COMICS, ive said the numerous times and no one seems to get it. fine it was by taco

Compress your sound, that'd be good.

Because, you know, I've got a slowish connection - when I load something that's over a meg, I expect quite a bit of stuff. Well, maybe not quite a bit, but more than this.

The ending came as no shock, either.

There's also clearly some anti-Canadian sentiment going on here. Was it the CANADIANS who were responsible for the Gummi Bears show going off the air? Hmmm.

DjMitri responds:

ok, first of all... i'm not alowed to wear a Molson Canadian hat? is it against some kind of NG law that Canadians are not allowed to show any kind of patriotism? I wear that hat okay man, the charecter is me... therefore i had to have my hat! got a prob with that?

I always watch cartoons fully before reviewing them, and I try to respond to as many reviews as possible.
