Cool

I was disappointed at how short it was. I agree, it needed music. Also, I laughed really hard at the end because you had the word replay all over the place... But no actual replay button. For some reason that was really funny.

I'd love to see this continued... the only issue I really had with this was just that it was really short. Some voices would be nice too. And yah, music.

Who needs plot...

...when you've created something so cool to look at? I love how he stops the crack in the earth with a pebble. Very cool. Very nicey done.

Ok, that rocked

I went and watched your other toons before watching this one, and they were pretty funny, although somehow I thought the raspberrybeard comic was funnier than the cartoon. Odd. Anyway, this exceeded my expectations by far - hilarity. This, in my own humble opinion, is nearly front-page-worthy. I enjoyed the hell out of it. The scooby-doo-esque chase scene was perfectly orchestrated, right down to the Monkees playing in the background - nice nice nice. All of my five ARE belong to this. Very well done. And, this movie is now added to my list of favorites.

Hmmm

I'm not sure what you mean by lagging, unless you mean the audio and video aren't syncing up right... it played okay here, but if you're having problems, make sure that you have the audio set to "stream."

Overall, the characters were well drawn, but I would have liked to see more focus on animating the mouths to approximate what the singer was saying, rather than just have the mouth open and close repeatedly for the most part. Yes, it's more work, but it would be much better in the long run.

There should have been some sound in the beginning and end, too... The silence there is just odd. Perhaps cute animal appropriate music? Maybe one of the drunk characters at the end could belch or something.

It's pretty good, but needs some work.

Riot-amot responds:

Yeah, that, it does not synch properly. Also, I tried to add some lipsyncing, but it got immensly tough, so I took the easy way out. =)

I was wondering what I could use in the beginning/end. Nothing seemed appropriate, but yeah, ambient sounds could work. Thanks for the input!

Not bad for a first attempt, but needs improvement

It was interesting, but it had a few glaring faults - and I'm not talking about the artwork or the animation, that will get better with practice and patience. The first thing I disliked was the lack of volume syncronization - the music was too loud, and the voices were too quiet. Gotta work on that. Secondly, ending after just seeing lights flashing in the building leaves me wondering what happened... You should have cut back to a scene in there showing the guy (or the girl) all beat up.

Still, not bad overall - I look forward to future submissions.

Not bad! Now, if it was only animated.

I mean, yes, there were animated parts, but the "slide-show" thing you've got going on here is way too tedious. You lost points on interactivity because it was actually TOO interactive. Weird.

Anyway, yeah - It's a great idea, very funny and all.. But seriously, just animate it, get some voices going and stuff. That's what this needs. The last review (that I saw) said to expect this to be at the top 50 - I think to get there it needs to be animated. Basically, what you have here is a really nice storyboard.

Dan-Mazkin responds:

Basically, this was for a uni assignment where we had to make it an interactive comic, my plans were to have it an animation with voices, yet I didn't have enough time for that, but rest assured, the next episodes i work on will be fully animated and have voice acting.

Boring crap

This is boring as hell, the voices are too quiet, and the drawings are sub-par. Also, was that a Kerry impression? Sounded more like a bad Reagan impression.

Dude! I rank "error!"

Ok, that rocked. When I saw this in there, I was like "I need to watch the first one first" and so I did, and it was pretty fucking funny - except for all the stuff that you already know sucked (no voices, etcetera).

This one ROCKED. It was hilarious. I laughed out lour repeatedly, it was great. But you need to fix the programming on the quiz thingy. Firstly, it seemed that it wasn't even supposed to show up unless I found easter eggs - which I didn't until afterward. Then it ranked me as "error" when I got 8/10.

But overall, yeah. That rocked. Looking forward to episode 3, which, as much as I'd like to see it soon (NOW! NOW! GIVE IT TO ME NOW!!!) I am willing to wait however long it takes (NOWNOWNOWNOWNOW) for you to put out a quality toon like this one. Take your time. (NOOOOOWWWW!!!!!1)

SecretAgentRege responds:

You sir have found the Golden Easter Egg. Okay, so it's not golden, infact, it was probably easier than the original 5. Anywho, the golden opened up the quiz for you without having to find the 5 in the movie. As for returning an error, I'm not sure why that would happen. It hasn't happened for me, nor a bunch of others that have used it. I shall look over the code after this weekend, but I believe I cannot upload another version anyway for I have way over 5,000 views.

As for the third, it is written and will begin development as soon as I get some free time. Thanks for the review and support!

WEll, it is an improvement over the last one

But it wasn't that funny. Don't get me wrong - I think you've got something here - but you need to work harder on the humor, or get someone funny to help write stuff for you.

Also, anticlockclock, you need a better microphone. you sound great for someone talking on some online military fighting game, but for voicing toons, not so great.

Some tips

Firstly - I think you got lazy and didn't want to finish this... You could have animated the machine working and fixing the backward speaker's speech, but you didn't bother, you just had the reading guy tell that part. Lame.

Secondly - I agree with a previous reviewer - you know you have a poor microphone, so you should do captions so we can understand what's being said.

Thirdly - Um... I dunno, I guess I only have just the one tip. At least the sound was synced properly in this episode - clearly you have learned to stream your sound. That's a good thing. Keep at it, and get better. This one was less entertaining than the first one, although your skill clearly has improved a bit since then.

bashfultrousers responds:

wow this is one of the best reviews i have ever gotten not becasue of the score but because of the helpful information, thank you

I always watch cartoons fully before reviewing them, and I try to respond to as many reviews as possible.
