I loved it!

My only complaint - it's too short. Ah, well. Nicely done, tho.

Fun, but predictable

Decent job overall, but first - it needs a preloader. Many people might not even notice, but I have slow dsl, and it bogged down halfway through as it finished loading. Second, a replay button, so it doesn't just play over and over. Heck, the NG preloader would accomplish both tasks nicely.

Aside from that, all I can say is some practice is needed - that was reaszonably well animated, but it felt beginnerish. Good job overall.

Thanx for the info on the preloader. Its always appreciated to get a review that actually gives good information to help a person out.

Who on earth cooks bacon in oil?

That was really very well done - a bit rough in spots, but forgiveable given the overall quality of the toon. The biggest part that bothered me was with the oranges, which appeared to hover next to the string as the camera panned down. But good job overall.

But seriously - who cooks their bacon in oil? I mean, it's already full of fat, you really just have to put it in a pan and turn it occasionally. And -- Man, that wasn't just cooked in oil (albiet, "the healthy kind"), it was cooked in a LOT of oil. Wow.

Anyway, good job!

Very well done.

That was very well done - the style you drew it in was perfect, and the storyline was very good. The animation was a little rough in spots, but I can forgive that. The voice - I assume you did your own voices... They were fine, but the quality of the recording didn't seem up to par with the quality of the art.

Very good.

I have to agree with the last person

It's kind of "flash for idiots." But don't get me wrong - that's a good thing. You want stuff that anyone can understand. I had no problem with the tutorials that came with flash - but clearly some people need something a bit easier to understand. I hope this is helpful for them.

I voted lower than you might expect because there are a TON of flash tutorials out there, you have a lot of competition.. I've seen better.

I voted higher than you might expect because there are a TON of flash tutorials out there, you have a lot of competition.. I've seen MUCH worse.

Good job overall.

Asgard responds:

THanks!

Next time i might try to have a balance between "flash for 'idiots'" and straight to the point :)

Not bad at all

It was very nicely done, overall. I'd reccomend a few things.

you should have done a few frames of the village burning - it wouldn't be too hard, have the village on one layer, and then just draw three or four frames of fire on a layer above that and loop it.

The plot, as a whole, was a bit abrupt - the ending in particular.... But at least it HAD an ending. I think you did pretty well. Good job! Keep it up!

Banjax responds:

thanks for the advise, I'll do some more work on it when I get the chance.

The 90's was the same

Just so you know. The 80's too. Probably the 70's as well. I mean, it wasn't punk then, in the 90's it was grunge that was like that.

It's just the way things have been for a long time. I think the first time I noticed it was when they started selling pre-faded jeans... And then pre-ripped jeans... Last time I was in a store, they had pre-mudstained jeans. What the hell is up with THAT trend?

Anyway, your toon was exceedingly well done. I have no suggestions whatever. Good job.

Part two: Better than part one!

I'm still laughing at that. Man, I hope you're working on part 3. Vader would be good. Mussolini? Hell, I dunno who you should do next - but you DEFINITELY should keep this up. This was great. Sound lost sync at some point, but it came back. Very funny. I love the gunshot when he grabs his groin, and his perplexed look at that. I'm gonna watch this again. Good job! *favorite'd*

Dance of Evil 4 will be an epic of evil cartoon people dancing, even though thats not say much. I'm talking dancing Russians, Stalin breakin' it down MJ style, Hitler making a return with some serious moves and a horde of dancing Nazis. Prepare!

That was great!

I was looking back through my reviews, and thought - I should watch movies made by anyone who has reviewed my stuff. What the heck!

Man, a lot of people have not made stuff, or it hasn't passed submission. I never really realized how many people just watch stuff here. That's cool, tho. Yours was the first review I hit where the author actually had flash to look at.

This was funny as hell, I enjoyed it lots! My only complaint is that I couldn't tell it was Sauron until the ring fell off his hand. Even then, I was like "Okay, now there's this random LOTR thing going on here... That's odd... OH! I get it!" But still, comedy gold. It's even funnier now that I know it was sauron. Good job on that. I enjoyed it lots.

Open-sketchbook responds:

Thats one of the things I really hate about newgrounds; most of the members, mostly those who have the strongest opinions about how much stuff sucks, have never submitted a movie, and are incapable of knowing how hard flash is. I wish that people with no movies couldn't review, man, that would make my life so much easier...

That was great!

First of all, I have to say that I must be psychic. Because I clicked on the "watch this movie" button, and suddenly that gary jules cover of Mad World by Tears for Fears started going through my head. And then it finished loading and played - And THAT WAS THE SONG YOU PICKED! OMGWTFXYZPDQ?!?

Ok, probably I just glanced at the audio credit without realizing it consciously. But man, that weirded me out.

That was great! I really enjoyed it. The only complaint I have is that I think you should have lingered on the headless doll a bit longer... A few seconds would have been good, maybe the limbs twitch once or twice, and then it lies still... That would have been an improvement - it just suddenly going back to the play button was weird.

But yeah, I totally didn't expect that to happen. So clearly I am NOT psychic. Good job.

I always watch cartoons fully before reviewing them, and I try to respond to as many reviews as possible.
