If I was a DJ at a club playing techno or somethin

I would use that as something to play on the monitors and sound system while I was talking about something. That would be a damn good use for it.

Very nicely done, just kinda short. Good job tho.

Well I was gonna point out that it's "Barrel" roll

But it looks like two other people already pointed out that it's Barrel roll, not barrow roll. So, you don't need me to point out that it's not barrow roll. So you probably already know you should go into your .fla, change all the "barrow" text so it says "Barrel" and update this submission. Because, it's barrel. Not barrow.

Awww, how nice

That was cool! I'd make a couple of suggestions.

It's kind of weird that you use the same hand sprite for both the boy and the girl - it just looks odd. If they had slightly different skin tones, it would be a bit easier to see (since there are no arms).

When you do a fade to white, it's better to actually place a white rectangle over everything that fades in - that way, you don't get that "x-ray" effect of seeing all the parts that make up your characters.

Anyway, that was cool - Nice to see something where people aren't getting killed all the way through.

I voted 4

I would have voted 5, but for a couple of minor glitches. This ROCKS, but there were a couple things you could have fixed before submitting it.... Fix them, and I'll give you a 5 tomorrow :)

Firstly, the bridge near the beginning disappears for a frame before he runs out onto it. That was odd.

Secondly, for the last part of the animation, he's not pounding on the spikes, he's pounding next to them, but they're sinking anyway... I think you just have the two sprites out of sync with each other.

Thirdly - I want to watch it again! But there isn't a replay button. Add a replay button, no doubt about it.

But -- DAMN. I hope you have more cool dreams, because this was WAY cool. Personally, I think this deserves front page. I'm gonna go watch it again.

Needs improvement, but not too bad for a first ep

It was kinda funny, but I was distracted by a lot of little flaws. The animation was okay, but the sync was off with the soundtrack all the way through. Work more on animating lips moving, too - not bad, but rough in places.

What was with the sound, anyhow? It was super quiet, muffled, and out of sync all the way through... Until the credits, when it was crisp and clean and plenty loud. Irritating.

Willamette?

I live in Oregon, in the Willamette Valley, right next to the Willamette river. So... I figure Howdy, Neighbor... Also, I figure I have to watch this. It's like a rule. So I'm gonna watch it, then I'm gonna write a review.

So far, it's a dude walking by a river - I assume the Willamette... You need more inbetweens, man - the legs walking need more than 4 or 5 frames... It's not hard to do inbetweens, just turn on onion skinning.

Hmm. It would have been better if he had started singing right at the beginning, instead of waiting like 10 seconds or so... Also, there was some black at the end, if he had started singing right away, it wouldn't have been black. Maybe that was your intention, a little odd tho.

It's kind of lacking in a lot of stuff - There were a few things going on in the river, that was a cool idea, but you should have done more of it... The birds were kind of strange. I got the point - girl bird leaves guy bird, guy bird is sad. But more specific imagery would have been good - a recalled event in the guy's actual life would have been better.

Still, not bad, and one of my favorite songs in the universe, as well. So I'll give you some points for that. Let's see, I'll go down the list here.

Graphics - 5 - simple, but not badly drawn, but you needed far more frames.

Style - 7 - Generally a good idea, a good song, and I have to give some bonus points for you probably being a neighbor of mine.

Sound - 10 - I love that song, and you did a good job syncing it up.

Violence, interactivity and humor don't apply.

That gives you a solid seven. Good job.

This would have been better with actual speech

I mean, using Speakonia kind of makes it have less impact. Also, it causes confusion - the last person to review it thought you were saying that the day meant nothing, when all you were saying was that it meant nothing to you at the time, meaning you didn't really understand it.

I like the attempt at making it look grainy like a black and white movie, that was a nice touch, and you gained some style points for that.

Loading Loading

Really, only one loading is necessary. Since the Newgrouds preloader comes with text that says "LOADING" - why did you put more text on that said the same thing? A bit redundant. Ok, I'm gonna watch now.

I liked it! Two things - Firstly - replaying it, the music continues to play over itself. You should put a stopallsounds at the end of it to stop that - hearing the music playing over itself is annoying. Secondly - Nice job on tweening. However, the feather should slow down as it reaches the ends of the arc - you can accomplish this by easing it (using the "easing" control).

Mr-dude-2nd responds:

ok the deal about the loading thing is when i made it I was going to make my own preloader, but when i added the preloader it screwed everything up. So i just left the other loading on there sorry. I know the music repeats and I should of fixed it but I had to leave and I am going to fix it later today.

"PLAY THIS GAME!!!" .....? Game?

This isn't a game. It's a cartoon. A very strange cartoon, with some relatively well drawn characters interacting in a really random way that says "Hi! I drew all these characters, and now I don't know what to do with them. I know! I'll make a random flash cartoon with no plot! But it'll be FUNNY!" I got news for you. It wasn't funny. It was... Well, not funny. Just strange.

And it remains not a game. You really ought to fix that, if it's allowed. It's amazing how much of a game this isn't.

Nice!

I enjoyed that quite a bit. Random, pointless, violent, and very funny. I agree, all it lacks is sound effects.

I always watch cartoons fully before reviewing them, and I try to respond to as many reviews as possible.
