Excellent in all its stompy goodness

Heavily influenced by STOMP!, this was very well done. Good job.

Thanks. To be quite honest I had long since forgotten about Stomp! My main influence was the Blue Man Group, they rock!

T-o-o - s-l-o-w

The pacing on that was terrible. Seriously, It took several minutes to get to the point, which was a punchline that was given away by the title, so it wasn't funny anyway. The music got repetitive and boring, the movie wasn't funny at all, but seriously - and I can't stress this enough - the main thing is it needed about 75% less of what it had. The scenes on the ship on the way to the planet could have gone quite profitably, as an example. It's clear you worked hard on this - but you would have done much better to make it much shorter.

It seems to be doing ok - I think that's because people love seeing a big pile of crap. Dunno, just a theory. Ah well.

Funny!

That got a chuckle out of me, good job. It would have been more fun if it were more animated, but at least it had the bits of animation it had.

I don't really go for the slide-show kind of format, I think it's kind of tedious - that's actually why I rated you low on interactivity, because it was TOO interactive.

This would have been great as an educational film from the 50's, but what a lot of work.

"What's the matter, Billy? Want to play with a brain? But you don't have one? Well, that's no problem, Billy! You can play with a brain today, and I'll tell you how!"

That kinda thing. Still, I laughed. Good job.

Hmmm

It's clear you spent a lot of time on the animation, and that pays off well. I'm confused as to why you didn't actually sync the vocals with the mouths, since you put so much time into the rest of the cartoon.

It's really really hard to understand what the characters are saying, it all sounds muffled. I'm sorry to say that you'd do well to have a running subtitle over the entire thing. Partly its the audio compression, but partly it's that the voices were not enunciated well.

The frame by frame was done superbly, for the most part. I think the whole soda-can-portal-to-the-robot-planet thing was a bit odd... I think more effort could have been spent on scripting his arrival to the robot world.

I'm interested in seeing where you take this series, but you do need to work on it a bit more. That said, I gave it a solid 3/5 in the portal rating, because it's definitely "Not bad, in fact, I kind of liked it!" Work on the things I mentioned and it could easily get up to a 5.

Good job, keep it up.

I LOVE this video!

I didn't even know it was on Newgrounds. I've loved it since I first saw it on... Well... Another flash site, one that has an abnormally light-colored wooly mammal in its name. Ahem. Anyway, - yeah. I LOVE this cartoon. Yay for cuteness and fun, and yay again for a great song, and a fantastic animation. I love the piles of hearts.

You would have gotten higher, but for a few things

Firstly - it really needed some sound at the beginning. Rain noise, etcetera. It was really maddening - I thought my speakers had gone out, and had the headphones turned up all the way when the music started. Ouch.

Secondly - You need to optimize your graphics. I know, it's a pain - especially when you have that many graphics - but I really should not have had to turn this all the way down to low quality for it to play decently.

Thirdly - OMFG TIHS SUX ASS U ERTARD IT SHUD B BLAMED ADN YUO -- *KOFF KOFF* What? Oh, excuse me. Actually, those are my only two complaints.

You did a great job syncing the graphics with the music, and the animation - aside from the lack of optimization - is not bad at all. Good job on this. I wish I could have rated it higher.

I think we've all been victims of "blamtards" at one point or other. Ah well.

Good job. Keep up the good work.

You write an honest, helpfull review I'll get optimising right away.

Very nicely done!

Of course, as you say - the general concept has been done before (the ones that come to mind are the ones on emotioneric dot com, but of course, those don't have sound or easter eggs). I liked this one better than the first one. Good work.

Very nice.

Nicely done! I loved the way you even had cannons at the right moments. Definitely worth the wait to watch it.

Now here's your big chance - You reviewed my lego movie, saying something like "but that's legomation and you can't do that" -- And here you say you broke the legomation rule. Where is this rule? Because I haven't seen it. Help me out? (Reply to this review)

ChaosFX responds:

Yes, I was told by a number of different users that you cannot submit legomation, or at least it will never make the front page, this is because the lego company has a site of their own which displays legomation, thus taking away the fame and glory from their site. So they complained to newgrounds. So now newgrounds will not post any Legomation on their front page, nor let it get popular enough... Which really sucks. Cause this could have got a greater score otherwise. Oh well, e-mail tom flup or wade for more info on this. Sorry kinda sucks though!

Very nicely done.

Good job - I'm looking forward to seeing more from you.

As always, nice.

Your cartoons are always so random. But that's fine! I like random.

Here's a thing that bothers me. You have SO many cartoons, and a couple of them are like "I suggest you watch my other cartoons first" - Because there's stuff in there that I might not get if I don't. Well - How do I know which ones came first? Newgrounds alphabetizes them. With eighty-some-odd cartoons to go through, I'm not gonna dig until I figure out what order they go in, you know? So is there a list of your cartoons in order somewhere? Or... Is there some way to view the lists of submissions chronologically on NG, thereby proving that I am just a friggin n00b? Hmm.

Anyway - As always, good job.

I always watch cartoons fully before reviewing them, and I try to respond to as many reviews as possible.
