It's all right

The graphics were pretty simple, but they did what they needed to do. Some spiffier graphics might spiff the game up a bit.

It's a pretty common theme (wander around the board eating stuff and getting larger, avoid the bad stuff) with a few little twists added in. Not too original, but not completely ripped off of someone else either.

The music was a bit annoying for some reason. I think I just didn't like the music. The sounds were all right.

Violence? Since there's no real detail in the conflict, I couldn't really rate on Violence.

It's pretty interactive, but it's pretty basic interaction.

No humor that I could detect.

Overall it's pretty ok, but I got tired of it kind of quick. One suggestion I would make is when the "GOD MODE" bar is on, perhaps the red bar should be decreasing instead of increasing - it makes it look like you're building up to god mode, and you'll have god mode once it reaches the top.

Aldarnc responds:

Yea i realised about the god mode thing after i released the game, ive changed that now. Ive also added a selection of music for you to choose from. Im currently trying to get the graphics increased, though any more strain on the game may slow it down too much.

Reviewing the whole series to date

Because I'm too tired to review each one individually... But I did vote on each one individually.

Overall, it's cool that even though it's taken you a couple of years to get this far, you've maintained the same general style throughout (well, except for the really really short 3-D episode, but that one clearly doesn't really count). Oh, and the platform game one at the training academy. That was kind of fun.

My biggest problem overall is that most of the "riddles" or "puzzles" seem to just involve guesswork. Which path to take? Which outfit to wear? Which door to go through? what flavor of ice cream? I guess give me twenty options, and I'm likely to get it right eventually, but it takes forever.

That's the other thing that has been an issue for me throughout the series... Waiting for the characters to get from here to there. I know they need to get there, but do I really have to sit there for 5 seconds and watch them float from here to there?

Overall it's pretty cool, you've clearly worked on it, and I'll likely come back and look for episode 12... But it really dragged on in places, and I have to admit to cheating a couple of times with the level select just to get past a boring "try all thirty of these until you get the right one" bit.

Nice, but...

It's a nice game, but it desperately needs sound. Also, it just seems too slow. It's a little odd that when you slow down all the way the bike actually goes backwards.

The graphics are beautiful, though. Excellent job there. Add sound, pick up the pace, and you'd have an excellent little game there.

"Roadblocks" anyone?

That's a fun game, and challenging. Unfortunately, the gameplay is identical to "Roadblocks" (portal submission 192217). Come on, come up with something original.

This is doing well, and will probably continue to do well, because most of the people voting on it don't remember the original game that this is ...I hesitate to say "ripped off" of because there are differences you've added. However, it's clearly influenced by or based off of Roadblocks.

Roadblocks was hard enough I had to actually look for a walkthrough (which was posted in the reviews) to get past a couple of levels.

If you've never played Roadblocks, my apologies - but if you have, then shame on you for not crediting where credit is due.

That is a very cute game!

I liked it! What fun! I only wish it didn't have to end so soon. I love it tho, the little giraffe bouncing up to the moon. Very cute. I'd love to see it take longer to get to the moon, and for there to be maybe birds and other stuff.

Excellent. This reminds me of the cute games at Orsinal Morning Sunshine, which I won't link to here, but you can google search it yourself if you've never seen them.

Those crosshairs are hard to see

It's really hard to see the light green crosshairs over the blue sky, you need to pick a color that doesn't blend in so well - red would work. Other than that, it was ok... Not very interesting. I didn't really play it very long, not being able to tell what I was aiming at very well made the game not much fun to me.

If this doesn't get frontpage...

Seriously. This is LOTS of fun. It's better than several things on the frontpage right now - This deserves front page, big time. Very very excellent.

I love the Napoleon Dynamite skin, especially how it talks. Woo! I wish the other skins talked like that, that would be better than the speech balloons. I would have liked to hear bush, and the teletubby, and all the other skins talking. Heck, Strawberry Clock would be easy - just get yourself a copy of Speakonia. Granted, I haven't tried them all. Still, it's a lot of fun.

Fantastic job on this - it will do well here.

I've always loved that Cursor Thief toon

It always bugged me that the counter didn't really work. Good job fixing that!

And to all you morons complaining that it's just "a stupid white thing bouncing up and down like it was drunk.omg" - you have to put your cursor to the point where the "stupid white thing" can reach it. Then it's funny. Hence the term "GAME" - you have to interact with it for it to do something.

I won! Yay!

But... Now I have to try to play again, and get 2000? Oh, man! I suppose that would involve getting a perfect score first time on each round, huh? Wow. I'm not that dedicated. I'm just satisfied to have gotten past that thing. Man. Good job on that, seriously. Challenged me good.

That music has got to go

The music is annoying as can be, I finally had to turn off my speakers. An option to turn it off would be realy nice.

I got to level 2, but then I got bored. Some things I would like to see:

The top and bottom of the screen should animate - I presume you're supposed to be racing through some strange cheese corridor with bits of cheese flying at you... That would be an improvement.

It would make more sense if everything was not made of cheese. I mean, that's just weird. What, are we liberating cheese from cheeseland? In the opening movie they seem to be in a house or something... That would make more sense.

I dunno, I hate games like this where everything is set out - nothing is random. As long as you memorize it, you'll do fine, but you'll have to die at least once per level to learn where the dangerous things are.

I always watch cartoons fully before reviewing them, and I try to respond to as many reviews as possible.
