MUST... STOP... ANNOYING... PIANO LOOP....

My GOD that's annoying. It has to go. First I had to deal with it while the thing was loading, then it kept playing while I played the game.

Also, the game just isn't that much fun to play. Sorry, I can't tell if it's not fun because it's not well made, or if it's just that I was ANNOYED AS CRAP BY THE PIANO LOOP. Bah.

yeah, sorry about that. I figured it would be annoying, but I was messing around with learning sound and had nothing else. once I get enough free time, that'll be one of the first things changed.

Work on your collision detection

I got killed several times because I went NEAR a blob that was larger than me - I suspect your collision guides may be squares... Also, it IS fish, just a variant of it.

The objects themselves are circles, however the movieclips seem to be squares. I am not sure how to make movieclips any other shape, and if that matters in collision detection. If you know, please send an email to [e-mail].

It's all right

The graphics were pretty simple, but they did what they needed to do. Some spiffier graphics might spiff the game up a bit.

It's a pretty common theme (wander around the board eating stuff and getting larger, avoid the bad stuff) with a few little twists added in. Not too original, but not completely ripped off of someone else either.

The music was a bit annoying for some reason. I think I just didn't like the music. The sounds were all right.

Violence? Since there's no real detail in the conflict, I couldn't really rate on Violence.

It's pretty interactive, but it's pretty basic interaction.

No humor that I could detect.

Overall it's pretty ok, but I got tired of it kind of quick. One suggestion I would make is when the "GOD MODE" bar is on, perhaps the red bar should be decreasing instead of increasing - it makes it look like you're building up to god mode, and you'll have god mode once it reaches the top.

Yea i realised about the god mode thing after i released the game, ive changed that now. Ive also added a selection of music for you to choose from. Im currently trying to get the graphics increased, though any more strain on the game may slow it down too much.

Several people who reviewed it before me were clearly not even literate. However, they were right about the game not accepting most plurals. I can understand if that's deliberate, but there was nothing in the rules saying that plurals couldn't be used. Plus, "lids" worked, so clearly some plurals are okay. I notice the game accepts some people's names, that was a bit of a suprise - I guess I automatically assume all word games like this wil adhere to strict scrabble rules.

To get a ten on graphics, you could have had the animation of when he's talking be a bit more interesting, his mouth barely even moves.

To get a ten on style, you could have had the thing accept more plurals, for one thing. Also, on a whim, I tried "sith," and it took it. Is that even a real word, outside the Star Wars universe? (grabs websters, looks it up..) Oh, ok, yes it is. Allow me to bump that up a bit more.

To get a ten on sound, you could have recorded more things for him to say randomly. I got tired of "I'm pretty sure that's not even a word!" especially when I knew it was. Three or four phrases per event would have been better. Also, the music loops are too short, they got old pretty quick. Thank you for providing a music off button.

To get a ten on violence... Well, I dunno, you could have had some violence. This isn't a violent game, so that doesn't fit. Forget I mentioned violence.

To get a ten on interactivity, you could have made it a bit less buggy. The letter tiles occasionally refused to light up green until I clicked another tile and hit reset, or they'd show up green for no good reason. Also, a pause button would have been nice - even if it hides the entire screen from view so you can't ponder the letters. My phone rang, and the timer ran out on me at some point.

Humor? I didn't see much humor. I think there was a bit, though, so I gave it a bit of a rating.

Thanks for the in-depth review (and thank you also, for answering your own question about "sith" - a lot of people have claimed that words that are in there aren't actually words, without checking them against a dictionary first).

If you'd checked the author comments, you'd know that some plurals were missing (and past tenses) - I've been putting in plurals as and when they've been pointed out to me, so that's why some work and some don't.

Some names appear in there and are accepted because they actually have meanings. For example, "Jenny" - female donkey.
