This is awesome.

I didn't review this because I had already told the author (IN the radio chat) how awesome this was, but I keep seeing negative reviews for lame reasons (ZOMG THERE ARE LAME PEOPLE IN THE CHAT ROOM), so I'm going to review this.

This thing is fantastic. I love how it plays music from the audio portal, I love how it automatically sets my username, and even if there are lame people in it, I love that I can chat in realtime with other NG users. It's clean, it works, and you've done a great job addressing bug and feature requests. I hope NG decides to just adopt this instead of the flash based chat app they're working on integrating :P This one is already great.

But seriously, after playing this, I had to go check to see if Peter Sallis had died. This guy doesn't do a BAD Wallace, but it's not quite right.

It's too easy, and it's not interesting

To start off with, the game is really incredibly simple at the beginning. All you have to do is let your spacecraft sit on the bottom of the screen and periodically "jump" over a missile that goes by down there, which is pretty rare.

Secondly, there should be some sound other than just hte one explosion when you die. How about a sound for the jets? I realize in space there are no sounds, but in a video game, there should be sounds.

It's a nice attempt, but you definitely need to keep working on it. This is basically a take on the old "helecopter going through the cave" game, except it's much easier.

I'm sorry, I don't go to newgrounds to look at stuff just to be told "Go to my site and play it there." meh. Please fix that and resubmit it, I'm not going to an external site to play this game.

My GOD that's annoying. It has to go. First I had to deal with it while the thing was loading, then it kept playing while I played the game.

Also, the game just isn't that much fun to play. Sorry, I can't tell if it's not fun because it's not well made, or if it's just that I was ANNOYED AS CRAP BY THE PIANO LOOP. Bah.

yeah, sorry about that. I figured it would be annoying, but I was messing around with learning sound and had nothing else. once I get enough free time, that'll be one of the first things changed.

Nice concept

I like it. The artwork is well done, and the gameplay is smooth. I'd like to see more variety in the kills, frankly, It'd be good if they didn't just vanish - it'd be better if they clutched their heart, their heads blew off, shot in the leg, what have you - something random with each hit, maybe 5 or 6 different deaths. Just a suggestion.

Work on your collision detection

I got killed several times because I went NEAR a blob that was larger than me - I suspect your collision guides may be squares... Also, it IS fish, just a variant of it.

The objects themselves are circles, however the movieclips seem to be squares. I am not sure how to make movieclips any other shape, and if that matters in collision detection. If you know, please send an email to [e-mail].

I'm not much at Chess, frankly, but this seems to work well. I'm only here because of Bill the Demon. But yeah. Looks good.

This was my FAVORITE old mac game

I LOVED this game. After I downloaded it, I played it constantly (never beat it tho). I started with the black and white version (because the color version was just too much for my old Mac LCII). Then I went hunting for more stuff by you, and couldn't find anything. I was disappointed... But now you've made it into flash! Excellent. I shall now play it.

The response on the keys isn't quite as smooth as it was in the old version. When I jump, there's this little delay that I don't remember.

the souls running away when you scream is a nice addition, I don't recall that.

The red things that come out of the ground like waves to eat you - I remember them being much faster.

Ok, enough comparison to the original. This is an awesome little game with a great plot, and biased though I may be, I'd recommend it to everyone. Yay! I love Bill the Demon.
